Features
Overview
Built to take the worst you can throw at it, the Tiger 800 XC has been fully equipped to handle autobahns and green lanes with equal aplomb.
The 800cc three-cylinder engine sets new standards in the adventure bike class, smoothly delivering plentiful torque at low revs for accurate off-road riding and combining it with more than adequate top end power for relaxed high-speed cruising.
With its rugged steel frame and long travel suspension the Tiger 800 XC has been designed for the rough stuff, with a host of optional accessories available for riders planning to spend more time off the Tarmac than on it.
The high specification includes a factory-fitted immobiliser, adjustable 45mm upside down front forks, adjustable rider seat and hand guards. Adjustable tapered aluminium handlebars add a touch of class and off-road durability to the Tiger 800 XC, while the optional anti-lock braking system can be switched off for off-road riding.
Maximum Adjustability
Handlebars and rider seat are both adjustable for optimal rider comfort.
Suspension
Chunky 45mm upside down forks adorn the front of the Tiger 800 XC with preload and rebound adjustability at the rear. Long travel for comfort on road and compliance off.
Switchable ABS
Anti-lock brakes can be switched off for off-road riding.
Built In Rear rack
Well appointed rear rack doubles as generously proportioned pillion grab rail.
High Capacity Generator
Class leading 500w generator allows the Tiger 800 XC to be fully loaded with journey-enhancing electrical accessories.

Triumph Tiger 800 XC (2010-current) - MCN
The new 800 XC is very much the bigger, burlier brother of Triumph’s two new Tigers. From the moment you swing your leg on board it’s clearly a taller, seemingly more substantial machine.
The combination of 21-inch wire front wheel (in place of the 800’s cast 19incher), longer travel (by 40mm) 45mm forks (the 800’s are 43mm) and slightly wider (by 32mm), higher, wider and further back bars (by using different bars and risers) make the XC seem, for a 6’3” rider like me, a much more ‘full-size’, macho and full-on, proper, adventure bike where the 800 is the more novice-friendly middleweight.
